Many of us seem to forget on moving day or before that we need to change our files, including address, with organizations that we might belong to. And if the area to which you are moving is too far to maintain membership at your current place of choice, you may want to get some referrals in order to explore your new options.

You’re a member here because you want to be

It’s a shame but some people have no choice but to change churches when they move to a new home. Once you think you may have found the new church of your choice be sure to have your membership transferred. It never hurts to ask for an introductory letter either to help familiarize you with your new place of worship. And your bank may have a branch near your new home so check that out first if you’re happy with your bank. And make sure you transfer every penny.

More mandatory than voluntary

Not many of us want to belong to this next organization by choice, rather it is more out of necessity. This refers to of course the utilities companies. Water may be a city thing that is charged to a faceless address. Electric and/or gas, however, is another story.
